Local Athletes Are The Backbone Of Our Organization
Alexandria City High School
Student athletes learn the value of teamwork and commitment. Excellence in athletics is the result of the hard work of many people over a long period of time. Alexandria’s tradition of excellence brings honor and respect to our student athletes, our schools and our community. As members of interscholastic teams, students are responsible for representing Alexandria schools and the entire community. Contributing to our athletic tradition will be a source of satisfaction to the students and to the schools.

Bishop Ireton High School
Bishop Ireton is a college preparatory, coeducational high school serving students from across the Washington Metropolitan area in grades 9 through 12. Our culture increasingly evaluates, ranks, and categorizes almost everything. Sport in America is ingrained in our culture; we have made Super Bowl Sunday a quasi-national holiday. And, of course, the way we grade everything in sports is based on the results on the scoreboard. For us in education, however, the true value of our athletic programs goes far beyond the number of games we win or college athletic scholarships awarded. Certainly, we are playing to win, but years from now, the truest evaluation of the benefit of participating in athletics will be far greater than how many games we won or scholarships awarded.

Ways To Give
The Alexandria Sportsmans Club provides a simple, powerful and highly personal approach to giving. There are many options to choose from when giving to the ASC. You can start creating your philanthropic legacy now with an outright gift of cash, stocks, bonds, real estate, charitable IRA transfer, or other assets to your community foundation, or you may do so at a later date with a planned gift. Most charitable gifts qualify for maximum tax advantage under federal law.
Each donor receives a unique giving experience, tailored to suit his or her situation and goals. Below, find details on creating a fund at the Alexandria Sportsmans Club. For further information, contact us below for more information.
- Make a gift that will directly benefit your community. Give cash, appreciated stocks, real estate, life insurance, charitable IRA transfer* or other assets.
- Allow us to set up a special fund in your name, in the name of your family or business, or in honor of a person or organization you choose.
- Receive tax benefits in the year your gift is made.
- Stay involved in the good works your gift makes possible.
- Our board issues annual grants in the name of the person or business you designate (if you prefer, scholarships can be made anonymously).
- ASC handles the administrative details.
(*Funds from charitable IRA transfers are only available for unrestricted, endowment, and designated scholarship funds).
