The Alexandria Sportsman’s Club held its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the Old Dominion Boat Club. This month’s meeting featured eight varsity basketball coaches (girls and boys) from all four city high schools for a coaches round table. Participants shared their insight about how best to coach high school students, the value in participating in multiple sports, and how competition continues to engage players and make high school athletics fun. We also honored 10 student-athletes from the city of Alexandria for their tremendous academic and athletic accomplishments.
